Group Financial Controller

Anne Corder recruitment is working with an established, international business outside of Stamford to recruit an experienced Group Financial Controller.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished finance professional to take on a senior leadership position within a complex, multi-entity organisation.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will take responsibility for the Group's financial accounting and reporting functions, ensuring robust financial controls, regulatory compliance and effective financial management across the business.

You will lead an established finance team, working closely with senior stakeholders to drive improvements, strengthen financial processes and support the continued development of the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop the financial accounting team, creating a high-performing and collaborative environment.
• Oversee Group financial reporting, consolidations and statutory accounts.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manage treasury, cash flow, working capital and financial risk.
• Lead the development and improvement of financial controls, policies and procedures.
• Oversee external audits and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders.
• Support financial planning, budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Work closely with senior leadership to provide financial insight and support strategic decision-making.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, processes and reporting.
• Support the CFO with wider financial and operational initiatives.

About You

We are looking for an experienced finance leader who combines strong technical accounting expertise with a commercial mindset and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

You will ideally bring:

• A recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Proven experience in a senior financial accounting or financial control position.
• Strong experience managing and developing finance teams.
• Experience working within a multi-entity, international or similarly complex organisation.
• Experience gained within a product-led, manufacturing, distribution, FMCG, healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical products or similarly operational environment would be particularly relevant.
• Excellent knowledge of financial reporting, statutory compliance and internal controls.
• Experience overseeing Group consolidations, treasury and cash flow.
• The ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong systems knowledge and an interest in improving processes through technology and automation.

Experience supporting business transformation or finance systems improvements would be particularly advantageous.
