ACR Newsletter

January 2026

It’s our first Newsletter of the year...

...and 2026 is shaping up to be our busiest year in recruitment for over 5 years! With all our divisions now established our consultants are working hard to deliver great outcomes to our partners whilst helping job seekers looking for their next career moves in 2026.

We’re proud to formally partner with local charity Sue Ryder, an organisation close to the hearts of many of our team. Sue Ryder provides expert palliative, neurological and bereavement care to people living with complex conditions. Through this charity they provide compassionate end-of-life and ongoing support when people and families need dignity, comfort, and understanding the most. We are currently working with their partnership team to align our 2026 calendars through volunteering and fundraising with them on a number of exciting events throughout the year. As part of this partnership ACR are excited to announce that we will be launching our first ever charity Golf Day which will be taking place in October; more details to follow!

Here at ACR we are planning ahead for the changes planned within the UK’s Employment Rights Act 2025 (formerly the Employment Rights Bill). There are big amendments coming across worker protections to include day-one rights like statutory sick pay, parental leave and increased protections against unfair dismissal. This coupled with new legislation around tighter rules on zero-hours and flexible work terms means that temporary cover is becoming a topical area of discussion between us and many of our partners. If you’re business is unaware of these changes and wants to put aside some time to discuss the potential business risks associated with this then we would be more than happy to guide and support where needed.

Throughout the year ACR will continue to host and support local businesses and HR professionals through our monthly webinars. A link to these can be found here:

Our next webinar is happening on Wednesday 11th February at 10am and we are honoured to be joined by Louise Upton who will be talking through the topic of ‘The Power of Being Present’. It’s looking to be a thought provoking and insightful discussion which is free to attend for all. If interested in finding out more please contact our HR Consultant Rebecca Ewers on 0333 577 0002 or email her for more info at: Rebecca@annecorder.co.uk

We look forward to the year ahead and will be sharing more big announcements over the coming months!
