Welder Fabricator – Sandy – £36,000–£40,000 Plus overtime

We are working with a well-established and growing engineering manufacturer based in Papworth, specialising in the design and production of bespoke industrial equipment. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Welder Fabricator to join a skilled and close-knit team, working on a range of heavy-duty fabrication projects for customers across multiple sectors. The role offers variety, stability, and the chance to be involved in both production and one-off bespoke builds.

*Please note the factory will be moving to just outside St Ives Cambridgeshire early 2027 so must be commutable distance here also*

Welder Fabricator’s Key Responsibilities:

1. Carry out MIG and TIG welding on mild and stainless steel including sheet, section and solid
2. Fabricate and assemble industrial equipment from engineering drawings
3. Work with heavy gauge materials and structural components
4. Ensure all work meets quality standards and production deadlines
5. Support fitting and assembly of completed products when required

Skills & Experience Required as a Welder Fabricator:

1. Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator in a manufacturing or engineering environment
2. Competent in MIG and TIG welding processes (coding advantageous)
3. Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings accurately
4. Experience working with heavy gauge steel and industrial fabrication
5. Strong work ethic, team player, and a proactive approach to problem solving
