What you’ll be doing:
- Creating and managing daily transport plans across general haulage and pallet networks
- Coordinating drivers, shunters, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations
- Monitoring and ensuring driver compliance – from licences to daily checks
- Looking for smart backloads and improving route efficiency
- Communicating clearly with customers and internal teams to meet service expectations
- Supporting continuous improvement and implementing a new Transport Management System
- Acting as a point of contact when the Transport Supervisor is unavailable
- Previous experience in transport planning or coordination (ideally within a fast-paced logistics setting)
- A confident, calm communicator who can work with drivers and customers alike
- Knowledge of transport compliance, vehicle maintenance schedules, and safety standards
- Good IT skills – particularly in TMS and MS Office
- A proactive, “can-do” mindset with a genuine passion for making things run smoothly
