The Role
We are looking for a proactive Temporary Transport Coordinator to join our team immediately. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day planning and management of transport operations, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery of services.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with Warehouse and Transport Supervisors to optimise transport capacity and vehicle usage.
- Create and manage daily transport plans for General Haulage, Pallet Distribution, and customer-specific operations.
- Ensure driver compliance, including licence checks and adherence to company policies.
- Monitor performance against KPIs and implement improvements where needed.
- Liaise with Warehouse Operations and on-site teams to meet customer requirements.
- Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and compliance with regulations.
- Support the rollout of a new Transport Management System (TMS).
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
- Essential:
- Previous experience in transport coordination or a similar logistics role.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of transport compliance and vehicle maintenance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with Transport Management Systems (TMS).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
