The Role
We are looking for a proactive Temporary Transport Coordinator to join our team immediately. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day planning and management of transport operations, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery of services.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Work with Warehouse and Transport Supervisors to optimise transport capacity and vehicle usage.
• Create and manage daily transport plans for General Haulage, Pallet Distribution, and customer-specific operations.
• Ensure driver compliance, including licence checks and adherence to company policies.
• Monitor performance against KPIs and implement improvements where needed.
• Liaise with Warehouse Operations and on-site teams to meet customer requirements.
• Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and compliance with regulations.
• Support the rollout of a new Transport Management System (TMS).
• Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams.

What We're Looking For

• Essential:
  • Previous experience in transport coordination or a similar logistics role.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of transport compliance and vehicle maintenance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with Transport Management Systems (TMS).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
