Project Engineer

Are you a Project Engineer looking to take ownership of complex engineering projects from concept through to installation? This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and highly respected manufacturer delivering bespoke processing and production equipment to leading customers across a booming manufacturing market.

Working within a collaborative engineering team, you'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while building strong relationships with customers throughout the project lifecycle.  

Project Engineer - Sandy - Up to £55,000

Performance Objectives

• Translate product, throughput, and hygiene requirements into a buildable system design before manufacture starts.
• Issue drawings, specifications, and schedules that keep fabrication, controls, and installation inside agreed cost and time.
• Close technical gaps on live projects fast enough that trials and commissioning dates do not slip.
• Align suppliers, fabrication, and site teams so mechanical, utility, and control interfaces work as one line.
• Sort defects and installation delays back into design standards so the next project is cleaner and faster.
• Leave operators able to run the line after training and handover, without ongoing engineering dependence.

Essential Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in mechanical, process, or manufacturing engineering.
• A record of taking engineered equipment from design through installation and accepted handover.
• Ability to understand drawings, specifications, and commissioning records others can build and run from.
• Experience holding fabricators, controls, and site contractors to one technical standard.
• Clear communication with customers and shop-floor teams when dates are tight.
