Production Planner

Are you working in supply chain or manufacturing and ready to take the next step into a Production Planner (or junior demand planning) role?

We’re working with an established manufacturing business in the Grantham area to find a Production Planner to join their busy supply chain team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, solving problems and keeping lots of moving parts on track. You’ll be responsible for helping make sure production runs smoothly - balancing customer demand, material planning, stock levels and manufacturing capacity.

What you’ll be doing as a Production Planner:

• Creating and maintaining daily and weekly production plans
• Reviewing customer orders and forecasts to understand production requirements
• Monitoring stock and finished goods levels
• Identifying potential supply issues before they become a problem
• Supporting new product introductions and changes
• Tracking key planning and supply chain information
• Working closely with colleagues across Operations, Commercial, Technical and Supply Chain
• Helping to improve processes and ways of working

What we’re looking for

You may already be a Production Planner, but we’re also keen to hear from people looking for that next step who have worked in roles such as:

Supply Chain Coordinator | Supply Chain Administrator | Planning Assistant | Materials Coordinator | Production Coordinator | Inventory Coordinator | Scheduling Coordinator

You’ll ideally bring as Production Planner:

• Experience within a manufacturing, FMCG or similarly fast-paced supply chain environment
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with data
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail
• The ability to juggle changing priorities and solve problems
• Confident communication skills and the ability to work with different teams across a business
• Experience using an ERP/MRP system
