Part Time Finance Assistant

Are you a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or Finance Administrator looking for a varied part-time finance role in the Stamford area?

Anne Corder Recruitment is recruiting for a Part-Time Finance Assistant to join a friendly, growing business based near Stamford.

This would be a great opportunity for someone with over one year's finance or accounts experience who enjoys working with numbers, is confident using Excel and has good attention to detail.

This isn't a traditional Sales Ledger role. You'll gain experience across bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, international payments, invoicing, balance sheet reconciliations, reporting and finance analysis, giving you excellent exposure to a broad range of finance activities.

You'll report to the Head of Finance and work closely with colleagues across Finance, Sales and Commercial within a small, friendly and collaborative team.

£27,500, Permanent, Stamford, Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant and Excel

Working part-time (ideally school hours but this is flexible)

What will you be doing?

Your responsibilities will include:

• Bank and account reconciliations
• Reconciling funds received and investigating discrepancies
• Allocating incoming payments
• Preparing and reconciling international outbound payments
• Raising invoices and allocating customer payments
• Calculating commission payments
• Weekly balance sheet reconciliations
• Finance reporting and analysis
• Supporting finance projects
• Helping colleagues and customers with finance-related queries

What are we looking for?

We're looking for someone who has ideally gained around a year's experience within a finance, accounts or accounting environment.

You'll need strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail, together with good Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP.

You could currently be working as a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, Finance Administrator, Accounts Administrator or Junior Finance Assistant and be looking for an opportunity to broaden your finance experience.

You'll be organised, approachable and comfortable working with large volumes of transactions and data. Full training will be provided, so we're also looking for someone enthusiastic about learning and developing their finance career.

Salary & benefits

The starting salary is £27,500 (to be pro-rata'd) with a benefits package including 26 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, company pension, private medical insurance following probation, dental and eye-care support and free on-site parking.

You'll be joining a friendly and sociable team with regular staff events and an environment where people genuinely work together.

The role is based in the Stamford area, working Monday to Friday but this is negotiable as ideally we are looking for someone part time. Following the initial training and settling-in period, there is the opportunity to work from home on Fridays.

Interview process

The first stage will be a face-to-face interview and will include a short accuracy exercise. Successful candidates will then be invited to a second interview with the CEO.
