As a Paraplanner, you will play a key role in supporting advisers through detailed research, technical analysis and well-structured client documentation.
The Role
As a Paraplanner, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing comprehensive support to Financial Advisers, including data analysis, report writing and preparation of tailored suitability letters.
- Conducting whole-of-market research to identify appropriate financial products, ensuring all recommendations are fully documented.
- Interpreting information from adviser meetings and liaising with product providers to gather outstanding information and progress cases efficiently.
- Ensuring all work meets FCA regulatory requirements and internal compliance standards, while keeping up to date with legislative and technical developments.
- Maintaining accurate CPD, training and competence records, managing platform access and supporting the delivery of the ongoing client service proposition.
- Participating in team meetings, building strong relationships with Broker Consultants, and supporting or mentoring colleagues when required.
- Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent).
- At least 2 years’ experience in a paraplanning role.
- Strong working knowledge of FCA regulations and the UK financial services market.
- Confident using financial planning software and provider platforms.
- Professional, commercially aware, and able to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients and external stakeholders.
- You are a confident Paraplanner who understands the importance of compliance and client outcomes.
