Nights Warehouse Operative

Job Title: Warehouse Operative (Container unloading)
Location: Bourne
Shift: Night Shift, 7pm - 3am (35 Hours) Overtime available
Salary: £13.44 per hour + nightshift allowance
 

About the Role of Warehouse Operative
 
We're working with a well-established and fast-paced distribution operation seeking a warehouse operative to join their night shift team. This is a hands-on role where accuracy, efficiency, and a strong work ethic are key.
You'll play a vital part in ensuring goods are received, checked, and stored correctly, helping maintain smooth warehouse operations and high service standards.

Key Responsibilities of the Warehouse Operative
 
Unloading & Palletising

• Unload inbound containers safely and efficiently
• Palletise goods to correct configurations and heights
• Check pallet quality and safely dispose of damaged pallets
• Ensure products are not mixed on pallets
• Identify and isolate damaged goods
• Prepare and wrap pallets ready for storage

Put Away

• Verify pallet quality before storage
• Use scanners to place stock in correct warehouse locations
• Ensure all received pallets are located by the end of each shift

General Duties

• Carry out pre-shift equipment checks and complete required paperwork
• Ensure equipment is correctly charged after use
• Maintain a clean and tidy working environment
• Support stock takes and inventory checks
• Follow all health & safety and company procedures
• Assist with training colleagues where required

What We're Looking For
 
Essential:

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Own transport (due to location/shift times)

Desirable:

• Previous warehouse or order picking experience
