Senior IT Support Technician – Microsoft 365

Cambridge | £35,300 + benefits | Hybrid after initial training

Are you an IT Support Technician looking to build your Microsoft cloud skills with a business that invests in your development?

I’m working with a growing IT services provider in Cambridge looking for a Senior Technician to join its helpdesk team. You’ll support customers across the UK and beyond, troubleshooting Microsoft 365 and Windows 11 issues and helping users get back up and running.

With 12 paid training days each year on a certified Microsoft syllabus, this is a great opportunity to develop your technical knowledge and progress your career.

The role:

• Provide end-user support across Microsoft 365 and Windows 11.
• Investigate, diagnose and resolve technical issues.
• Support systems including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint and Intune.
• Keep customers informed through clear telephone and email communication.
• Take part in occasional early or late shifts and an evening/weekend on-call rota, with additional pay for on-call cover.

What you’ll need:

• At least two years’ IT support experience within an MSP or a busy helpdesk environment, covering first, second and/or third-line support.
• Strong hands-on experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Windows 11.
• Working knowledge of Exchange, Teams, SharePoint and Intune.
• A practical approach to troubleshooting and excellent communication skills.
• A clean driving licence.

What’s on offer:

• £35,300 basic salary.
• Profit share and annual performance bonuses, typically equivalent to 10–15% of basic salary.
• Hybrid working, typically two to three days from home each week following the first few months onsite.
• 12 paid Microsoft training days per year.
• 20 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to purchase up to 20 additional days.
• 5% employer pension contribution with a 4% employee contribution.

Occasional shifts run from 6:30am–3:30pm or 12pm–9pm. Successful applicants will need to pass security screening after accepting an offer, with annual checks thereafter.
