MET Technician

Anne Corder are happy to be partnering with a well-established and highly regarded automotive repair centre with a strong reputation for quality workmanship and customer service. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit an experienced MET TECHNICIAN to join their busy Bodyshop team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled MET TECHNICIAN who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with excellent earning potential and long-term stability.

As a MET TECHNICIAN, you will play a vital role in the repair process, ensuring vehicles are stripped, repaired, and rebuilt to the highest standards.
  
MET Technician’s Key Responsibilities:

1. Carry out all MET work including strip and refit of mechanical, electrical and trim components
2. Diagnose vehicle damage and ensure correct repairs are completed efficiently
3. Remove and refit engines, gearboxes, suspension, steering, and electrical systems
4. Work closely with panel and paint departments to ensure smooth workflow
5. Maintain high standards of health & safety and workshop cleanliness

  
Skills & Experience Required as a MET Technician:

1. Proven experience working as a MET TECHNICIAN within a Bodyshop or accident repair centre
2. Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge of modern vehicles
3. Ability to work to manufacturer repair methods and industry standards
4. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
5. Full UK driving licence preferred

  
Benefits Package:

1. Base salary up to £40,000 per annum
2. Overtime available to significantly boost earnings
3. Monthly department profit-related bonus
4. Monday to Friday working hours — 8:00am to 5:30pm
