Junior Buyer – Stamford (12 Month FTC)

Anne Corder Recruitment is delighted to be working with a highly regarded and growing organisation to recruit a Junior Buyer to join their procurement team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Junior Buyer at the early stages of their career to gain hands-on experience within a fast-paced, manufacturing-led environment, with exposure to both operational purchasing and supplier management.

The Role

As a Junior Buyer, you will support the procurement function in sourcing and purchasing a wide range of indirect goods and services, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across the business.

This Junior Buyer role offers real variety, working closely with internal teams and suppliers to ensure efficiency, cost control, and strong supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Raising and managing purchase orders within the procurement system
• Converting purchase requisitions into accurate and timely orders
• Monitoring order progress, deliveries, and invoice matching
• Expediting orders and supporting the wider procurement team
• Maintaining supplier records and pricing agreements
• Supporting contract management and supplier performance tracking
• Analysing spend data and identifying cost-saving opportunities
• Liaising with internal departments to understand purchasing needs

About You

To be successful in this Junior Buyer role, you will:

• Have 0–2 years’ experience in procurement, purchasing, or a similar administrative role
• Be highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Be confident working with data and systems (ERP/MRP experience desirable)
• Be proactive, adaptable, and keen to develop within procurement
