Role: Installation Engineer

Salary: Entry Level + company car

Location: Outskirts of Stamford

We’re working with a market-leading provider of specialist EPoS systems within the independent retail sector, who are looking to add an Installation Engineer to their customer-focused team.

This is a hands-on, field-based role where you’ll play a key part in delivering and installing systems on-site, often being the first point of contact for customers. As a result, professionalism and communication are just as important as technical ability. This role would be ideal for somebody who is earlly on their installations engineer and wants to join a business where progression and career development are encouraged.

What you’ll be doing

As an Installation Engineer, you will:

• Install EPoS systems at customer sites across the UK
• Travel to sites (including occasional overnight stays)
• Report weekly into the Installation Manager regarding schedule
• Train customers on system functionality (ShopMate software)
• Handle customer queries and support requests via telephone
• Attend site visits for engineer engagements and breakdowns
• Support demonstrations at occasional trade events

About you

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

• A full clean driving licence
• Experience working within a team environment
• Basic DIY skills (e.g. drilling, use of tools such as jigsaws)
• Experience running network cables (including through ceilings)
• Knowledge of cable management
• Basic network fault-finding skills
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• A proactive and self-motivated approach
• Clear and confident communication skills
• A professional, customer-facing manner
