Job: Injection Mould Setter

Salary: £45,000 + overtime

Shift: Nights, 18:00 to 06:00, Monday to Thursday

Location: Peterborough

As an Injection Mould Setter you will be responsible for setting, adjusting and maintaining injection moulding machines to keep production running efficiently, safely and to a high standard.

You will play a key part in achieving quality output, reducing downtime, completing tooling changes and supporting a smooth-running night shift manufacturing environment.

Injection Mould Setter’s Key Responsibilities:

• Set, adjust and maintain injection moulding machines to ensure efficient production output and consistent performance.

• Complete safe and efficient tooling changes in line with production schedules and operational requirements.

• Monitor cycle times, machine performance and product quality, responding quickly to faults, downtime and reject issues.

• Calibrate masterbatch units, record scrap levels, downtime reasons and relevant production data accurately on the ERP system.

• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, quality and health and safety, while providing supervisory cover when required.

Skills & Experience Required as an Injection Mould Setter:

• Demonstrable experience within an injection moulding manufacturing environment, including machine setting and tool changes.

• Strong technical ability to keep machines running efficiently, monitor cycle times and maintain quality standards.

• Confident problem-solver with the ability to respond quickly to production issues, downtime and reject concerns.

• Good communication, organisation and IT skills, including the ability to record production data accurately on an ERP system.

• Strong attention to detail with good numeracy, clear written and verbal communication, and a commitment to health and safety, teamwork and continuous improvement.
