Team leadership experience (along with own transport and up to date forklift licenses!) are essential for this Goods in operational role.
You will be working closely with the Warehouse & Logistics Manager to develop efficient systems, uphold company procedures, and maintain high standards of productivity, accuracy, and compliance. This role involves managing the full Goods In process from receiving deliveries to stock control and replenishment while ensuring the team follows established workflows, health & safety standards, and safe systems of work.
A key part of the Goods In role is setting expectations, addressing issues promptly, and supporting staff development through training, feedback, and regular progress reviews. The position also requires strong communication across departments, effective delegation, and proactive problem‑solving, especially during periods of operational change.
Additional responsibilities include overseeing yard standards, ensuring forklifts and vehicles are safely maintained, monitoring pallet availability, and maintaining safe, tidy external areas. The role also manages stock accuracy, container unloading, replenishment processes, and coordination with Production and Purchasing. Throughout all duties, the position requires professionalism, confidentiality, adherence to company values, and a commitment to supporting the smooth and efficient running of the wider business.
