Finance Assistant

Anne Corder Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing organisation to recruit a Finance Assistant to join their collaborative finance team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and detail-driven Finance Assistant looking to move beyond purely transactional work and gain exposure to costing, reporting, and business-critical financial analysis within a manufacturing environment.

The Role

As a Finance Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes, working closely with the Finance Manager and wider team.

This is not your typical ledger-only position, this Finance Assistant role offers real variety and the chance to get involved in meaningful financial insight and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing Sales Ledger activities, including invoicing, allocations, and credit control
• Supporting Purchase Ledger processes, ensuring accuracy and timely payments
• Assisting with month-end duties including journals, reconciliations, and reporting
• Contributing to costing and analysis relating to manufactured products
• Supporting the production of financial reports, forecasts, and cashflow data
• Working with ERP systems (including Sage X3) and supporting system/process improvements

About You

To be successful in this Finance Assistant role, you will:

• Have experience across Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger
• Be confident working with data and keen to develop analytical skills
• Have a proactive mindset with strong attention to detail
• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Ideally have exposure to ERP systems (training can be provided)
• AAT study or similar would be beneficial but not essential
