Location: Cork, Ireland  
Salary: €38,000 - €42,000 + Company Van

Working within a small service engineering department, this role offers the opportunity for a Service Engineer to join a family run business who work with retailers, commercial outlets and businesses within 1 hour radius of Cork to provide reliable and honest engineering support across their appliances.

Service Engineer’s Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out installation, servicing, and preventative maintenance of commercial appliances at customer sites, ensuring all equipment operates to manufacturer and safety standards
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently, minimising downtime and delivering a high standard of first-time fixes
• Provide on-site technical support and basic user training to customers, ensuring correct operation and care of equipment
• Maintain accurate service records, job reports, and parts usage, ensuring clear communication with the Technical Maintenance Manager and wider team
• Deliver excellent customer service at all times, building strong relationships with clients and representing the business professionally during site visits

  
Skills & Experience Required as a Service Engineer:

• Mechanically and/or electrically minded, ideally with a relevant qualification or hands-on experience in a field service or maintenance role
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose faults and work independently in a customer-facing environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach and professional manner
• Motivated, reliable, and willing to learn, with a proactive attitude towards training and personal development
• Full clean driving licence and fluent English, with flexibility to work occasional weekends (1 in 3 rota)
