Job Title: Demand Planning Manager
Location: Peterborough (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to £55,000 + Car allowance + Bonus

We are seeking an experienced Demand Planning Manager to lead our Demand Planning Team, driving forecast accuracy and ensuring exceptional service for our customers. In this pivotal role, you will develop data-driven demand plans, collaborate with key stakeholders, and optimise processes to align supply with market needs.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop the Demand Planning Team, fostering a high-performance culture with clear KPIs and development plans.
  • Oversee the creation of an accurate demand forecast using historical data, market trends, and customer insights.
  • Drive the S&OP process, ensuring cross-functional alignment with sales, supply, and category teams.
  • Build strong relationships with customer forecasters to enhance collaboration and service levels.
  • Conduct S&OP review meetings to refine forecasts and communicate variances to stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve demand planning processes and system utilisation (experience with demand planning software preferred).
  • Monitor forecast accuracy, identify performance gaps, and implement corrective actions.
  • Represent Demand Planning in cross-functional projects, driving efficiency and innovation.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by adhering to best practices in health and safety.
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Essential: Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
  • Strong background in demand planning/forecasting in the FMCG industry.
  • Expertise in S&OP processes, statistical forecasting, and demand planning software.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and trends.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, BI systems) and high numerical proficiency.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a drive for continuous improvement.
