What you’ll be doing:
Working as part of a collaborative, solutions-driven support team, you will:
- Deliver technical support for electro-mechanical test equipment via phone, email, remote access, or site visits
- Commission, maintain, and train users on equipment at customer sites around the globe
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs down to component level
- Respond promptly to warranty claims, ensuring smooth resolution and high customer satisfaction
- Maintain accurate service call records in SAP B1, from first contact to case close
- Prepare RAMS documentation and follow safe working practices in all environments
- Generate reports, service analysis, and commissioning documents
- Collaborate with Sales, Production and Design teams to share insights and suggest improvements
- Contribute to service quotations, customer communications, and trend analysis
- ONC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering (apprenticeship preferred)
- 5+ years in a hands-on technical support/service engineering role
- Proven experience working on industrial control systems
- Confident reading schematics, using diagnostic tools, and handling repairs independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including documentation and reporting
- Proficiency in MS Office and working knowledge of SAP (or similar ERP/CRM)
- Valid UK driving licence and passport – you’ll travel globally at short notice, typically for up to a week at a time
