What You’ll Be Doing
As an Agricultural Service Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Diagnosing and repairing agricultural and plant machinery
- Carrying out mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault finding
- Delivering a strong “First Time Fix” rate
- Completing accurate job reports using laptop/PDA systems
- Supporting customers across your designated territory
- Promoting service and aftermarket support where appropriate
- Working safely and professionally at all times
- Participating in a call-out rota (rota details discussed at interview)
What We’re Looking For
- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Land-Based Engineering / Plant Engineering / Service & Maintenance
- Proven experience working on agricultural, heavy plant, or similar machinery
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems (open & closed loop), transmissions and electrical systems
- Comfortable working independently in a field-based role
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Excellent customer-facing communication skills
