Senior Manager, Transportation and Customs UK & Rep. of Ireland

Our Northamptonshire client, a global leader in technology and supply chain services, are looking for a Senior Manager to deliver best in class Transportation and Custom Services for their high-profile clients.

Reporting to the Transportation Director, you will be responsible for day-to-day management, development and implementation of first-class Transportation and Custom Services with a team of 4 direct reports.

You will have responsibility for managing the current setup, costs, and SLA performance alongside new strategic planning for the customers activities and new carrier portfolio.

The ideal candidate will have: –

  • University Degree in Business or Logistics or equivalent professional training and education.
  • Experience in a senior management transportation/customs role within a freight or logistics environment.
  • CPC license
  • Experience in direct contacts with carriers and customs authorities.
  • Experience in international trade, Inco terms and documentation.
  • Experience in management systems or methods such as Lean management Six Sigma.

You will need to be: –

  • Highly resilient and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communicator, with the ability to communicate across different sites and countries to deliver results.
  • Have strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Value based, demonstrating honesty and fairness in your day-to-day activities.
