FP&A Manager

A rapidly growing construction firm based in Corby are looking for a FP&A Manager to support the FD in planning, decision-making and supporting the finance team as well as the business in general.

This is a hands-on role which will involve a lot of financial planning, forecasting and analysis.

Some of the main duties include;

  • Working together with the Finance Director for monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting and budgeting.
  • Providing fact-based analysis to support financial and commercial proposals.
  • Producing financial analysis to influence business plans and enable key decisions to be made.
  • Identifying trends and business opportunities, raising ideas and championing process improvements, as well as cost saving initiatives to meet business objectives.
  • Collaborating in the production of the monthly finance pack.
  • Analyse accounting, budgeting, and finance reports.
  • Build and maintain financial models to support business planning and forecasting.
  • Analyse large data sets from multiple sources to identify trends and insights.
  • Produce high-quality and accurate analysis to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
  • Continuously improve processes and systems to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop a deep understanding of variances in actual performance versus plans and influence across departments to maximise business outcomes. In particular, facilitate data-driven decision making by ensuring key decision makers access appropriate operational and financial analysis to identify opportunities and measure performance.
  • Develop a model that analyses project management utilisation.

Essential skills and experience required;

  • Planning, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Financial controls and processes.
  • Financial modelling skills and analysis.
  • Strong Excel skills and experienced in ERP systems.

Beneficial skills and experience;

  • Part or fully qualified (ACCA or CIMA).
  • Stakeholder management.
  • Power BI.
  • Experience within the construction industry.
