Hosted by: Sharon Livermore MBE

Did you know that 1 in 3 women and 1 in 5 men will experience domestic abuse in their lifetime?
This isn’t just a personal issue, it’s a workplace issue, too. The effects of domestic abuse don’t stop at the front door and often work can be a victims only safe space, where they can seek support.

This important session will shed light on the realities of domestic abuse and highlight the crucial role businesses play in supporting employees who may be affected now, or in the future.

Delivered by Sharon Livermore MBE, a domestic abuse survivor and advocate, this powerful and insightful presentation will include personal experiences and evidence-based guidance.

During the session, we will explore:

  1. The definition of domestic abuse and its various forms

  2. The universal impact of abuse – it can affect anyone

  3. How to recognise warning signs, respond appropriately, and refer individuals to support

  4. Key statistics that illustrate the scope and urgency of the issue

  5. Explain why this is a critical workplace issue
