Rebecca Ewers from Anne Corder Recruitment set the tone perfectly, cutting through the noise and reinforcing that recruitment isn’t just about filling roles, it’s about getting it right at every stage, from attraction to onboarding and beyond. Her message was simple but critical: communication is everything.
George Miller from Roythornes Solicitors then delivered exactly what businesses need right now, clarity. Breaking down the key changes within the Employment Rights Act, he highlighted where employers should be focusing their attention immediately, and where action simply can’t wait.
We had a standout session from Steph Butcher at EBCam Employee Benefits & Independent Financial Advisers brought a sharp commercial edge, challenging businesses to rethink their employee benefits offering, not as a ‘nice to have’, but as a core driver of attraction, retention, and long-term success.
We closed with a refreshingly honest and practical session from Helen Turner at Bourn Hall Fertility Clinic UK, sharing “what’s in her inbox.” A real insight into the day-to-day realities of HR, from employee challenges to the growing role of AI and what it actually means in practice, not just theory.
